HUDC Singapore

Our HUDC Journey: A Tribute to a Remarkable Chapter

In 2007, Martin and I embarked on what would become a deeply fulfilling journey into the HUDC (Housing and Urban Development Company) resale market. Our very first transaction was a unit in Shunfu Ville — a project that would go on to become one of Singapore’s most talked-about en bloc success stories. That sale marked not only a milestone in our careers but also the start of a specialisation in a niche yet significant segment of Singapore’s residential landscape.

We still remember the excitement of that first deal: the negotiation process, the joy of matching the right buyer to the right home, and the unexpected media interest we received as Shunfu Ville became a key focal point for property watchers. Even then, it was clear that HUDC estates held untapped potential — offering spacious layouts, strategic locations, and long-term investment value.

Since that first sale, we have had the privilege of transacting more than 70 HUDC units across Singapore. From Braddell View to Lakeview Estate, from Eunosville to Pine Grove — each transaction carried its own meaning, whether it was a family upgrading, a retiree realising their nest egg, or a young couple entering a mature estate with enduring fundamentals.

Once built for the middle-income group, HUDC estates have since been privatised and transformed into prime redevelopment opportunities. Their large land plots, rare unit sizes, and proximity to essential amenities continue to draw discerning buyers and investors seeking legacy and lifestyle.

Looking back, we are filled with gratitude. Grateful for the trust our clients have placed in us, and for the many friendships we have forged along the way. This article is more than just a guide — it is a heartfelt tribute to the community that has shaped our careers.

Thank you for journeying with us. We remain committed to serving the HUDC community with the same sincerity, dedication, and care that began with Shunfu Ville.

What Is a Privatised HUDC?

Privatised HUDC flats are former government-developed housing for middle-income Singaporeans, now upgraded to private status. Many offer generous living space and are located in mature estates, making them attractive for both homeowners and investors.

Originally built under the Housing and Urban Development Company (HUDC) scheme, these properties were later privatised to allow for strata-title ownership and individual sale. This guide will help you understand key estates, features, and what to consider when purchasing one of these unique properties.
