Ang Mo Kio Library to Relocate to AMK Hub and Queenstown Library to Get Facelift

Ang Mo Kio Library will close its doors at its current standalone location on 31 July and reopen within AMK Hub on 20 November. The relocation to the popular suburban mall is part of NLB’s strategy to embed libraries within high-footfall retail spaces, improving accessibility for residents who already visit the mall for daily needs.

The move is expected to enhance the library experience with a refreshed design and improved connectivity to public transport and surrounding amenities. For property owners and residents in the Ang Mo Kio estate, the integration of a public library within AMK Hub adds another layer of lifestyle convenience to the town centre.

Queenstown Library will also undergo a revamp to better serve the area’s growing and evolving community. As one of Singapore’s most established mature estates, Queenstown has seen significant residential development in recent years, and the library facelift aligns with broader urban renewal efforts in the precinct.

Separately, Bukit Batok Library reopened in 2026 as Singapore’s first library featuring immersive soundscape technology, part of NLB’s broader push to transform public libraries into multi-sensory community spaces. These upgrades reflect the government’s commitment to enhancing neighbourhood amenities, which in turn support property values in the surrounding areas.
