CPF Retirement Sums — BRS · FRS · ERS

What do these mean?

Basic Retirement Sum (BRS), Full Retirement Sum (FRS) and Enhanced Retirement Sum (ERS) guide how much CPF savings you set aside for lifelong payouts. Your BRS/FRS depend on the year you turn 55 and stay fixed thereafter. From age 55, you may top up to ERS for higher payouts.

BRS & FRS (remain fixed after you turn 55)

Members Turning 55 in 2025–2027

If you turn 55 in Basic Retirement Sum (BRS) Full Retirement Sum (FRS)
2025 $106,500 $213,000
2026 $110,200 $220,400
2027 $114,100 $228,200

FRS = 2 × BRS. If you turned 55 before 2025, check historic FRS tables and how sums are determined.

Enhanced Retirement Sum (ERS)

Top-up limit for age 55 and above

Year Enhanced Retirement Sum (ERS)
2025 (Current)$426,000
2026$440,800
2027$456,400

ERS = 4 × BRS (raised to 4× from 2025). From age 55, you can top up your Retirement Account (RA) up to the prevailing ERS each year for higher CPF LIFE payouts. ERS adjusts every January, so further top-ups may be made in subsequent years.

Illustration: Members turning 55 in 2025 who top up to the raised ERS can receive CPF LIFE payouts of >$3,000/month for life from age 65 (approximate; actual payouts depend on scheme/options chosen).
