Revolut to Open a Permanent Singapore Office at Collyer Quay Centre in Early 2027 as Part of a S$350 Million Commitment

The Business Times | Perspective | 9 October 2026

After seven years of operating out of co-working spaces, digital banking and fintech platform Revolut is taking a permanent 8,880 sq ft office at Collyer Quay Centre, slated to open in early 2027. The space anchors a S$350 million investment the UK-headquartered company has committed to Singapore over the next five years.

The Office and the Investment

The Collyer Quay lease will support Revolut’s plan to grow its local workforce to more than 300 employees within three years, from about 170 now. Headcount grew 95 per cent in 2025. Hiring will focus on engineering, product management, data science and artificial intelligence, and the company intends to keep a mix of about 70 per cent locals and 30 per cent foreigners.

The S$350 million is earmarked for product innovation, regional business growth and talent acquisition. Revolut Singapore and South-east Asia chief executive Raymond Ng said having its own office and logo signals to authorities and users that the company is going to be deeply rooted in the market. Economic Development Board executive vice-president Pee Beng Kong said the expansion will strengthen the fintech ecosystem and create opportunities for local talent.

The move follows the close of a secondary share sale in September 2026 that sources said valued the company at US$115 billion, unchanged from July and up from US$75 billion in 2025. Revolut’s pretax profit that year was £1.7 billion (US$2.2 billion).

Singapore as a Launch Pad

Ng said Singapore will be the launch pad for Revolut’s wider Asian ambitions, helped by a supportive regulatory environment and a deep talent pool. Recent steps include a Global Technology Hub in Manila, and the company is evaluating expansion into several regional markets.

In 2025, Revolut’s domestic transaction volumes in Singapore rose by more than 30 per cent and now account for nearly half of user activity. Peer-to-peer payment volumes increased by almost 40 per cent, while virtual card usage and wealth and trading customer numbers each grew by more than 55 per cent. In the business segment, the local customer base expanded five times. Between August 2025 and August 2026, corporate deposit balances and transfer volumes trebled and merchant card payment volumes rose 10 times. Globally, the platform serves more than 80 million retail customers and 850,000 businesses.

AsianPrime PerspectiveFor the property market, the signal is a fast-growing fintech choosing a permanent CBD address after seven years in flexible space. That fits the pattern of technology and AI occupiers expanding in prime offices while supply stays tight, which we covered in Prime Office Rents Rise in 3Q2026 and OpenAI’s talks to lease at Shaw Tower. An 8,880 sq ft office is small by CBD standards, but a headcount target of more than 300 suggests a company that expects to grow into and beyond it. For landlords, the lesson is that co-working tenants can become anchor tenants once they reach scale. For investors in Singapore property, it also helps explain steady demand for good-quality residential near the CBD, since the people filling these roles need to live somewhere.
